Some other points - LAMP,Net, Java - doesn't make much difference. Benefit of a proprietary platform can be finding customers. Large number of Players in Cloud Computing. A couple of the more interesting ones: Amazon EC2 Google App Engine Salesforce.com Force IBM’s Blue Cloud I would tend to agree.
