Morphlabs is one of the newest software firms started by Winston Damarillo, who has previously founded such firms as Gluecode.

Santa Barbara-based cloud computing management software firm RightScale is linking its products into IBM DB2, one of the major enterprise database software packages, the firm said today. Our chief architect, Ryan Lissack, wanted to store our data in Amazon’s new (at the time) storage product called S3 that enabled us to store all our data in their facility and we’d pay by the MBs uploaded / downloaded. At the time we viewed Amazon’s offering, EC2 as too nascent. I was dead set against it.
