Report: Flipagram Looking For Buyer

Los Angeles-based mobile app developer Flipagram is looking for a buyer, and may have found one, in Chinese news aggreagtor Toutiao , according to a report Thursday. Citing "multiple sources" close to the company, Recode said Flipagram is still discussing financial terms with Toutiao, but no deal has been signed.

In the second big piece of news in Los Angeles from Chinese company Bytedance , Bytedance said on Friday that it will invest $50M in a Series B funding in Los Angeles-based Live.me , a developer of an online livestreaming service. is a subsidiary of Chinese company Cheetah Mobile. Bytedance also bought LA's Flipagram earlier this year.
