They demoed the electricity transfer with a physical device that looked like something that would never be allowed on an airplane. Did anybody hold patents that would prevent us from using this technology? I seldom hire patent attorneys during due diligence but this was too important. But it seemed to work.

Just because a product has a patent, deep complexity and an obvious competitive advantage does not mean that it can fly by itself into the market.
