Redondo Beach-based Ozobot , which develops educational robots used for teaching software coding, has raised $3M in a Series A funding round, the company said late Wednesday. The funding was led by Tribeca Venture Partners. Ozobot said the new funding goes towards product development of its products.

Redondo Beach-based Ozobot , which develops educational robotics products, says that it has named Joby Otero as its Chief Product Officer, and Kim Salzer as Chief Marketing Officer. Ozobot is backed by Tribeca Ventures, and recently raised $3M in a Series A funding. Both also had served at Activision.
