Van Nuys-based JetPack Aviation , a developer of commercially available "jet packs" for sending people into the air, said today that it has signed an agreement with Georgia Tech Research Institute. The company so far has raised a little over $173,000 out of $1M it is seeking on the StartEngine platform.

Van Nuys-based Audiolife , a firm that develops tools and technology to sell merchandise to music fans, announced today that it has raised $1M in a bridge round of funding. Source of the new funding was not disclosed. The firm said the round came as a single-tranche note, convertible to preferred shares.
