Equity-Only CTO and Equity-Only Developers

Was it a Startup Founder Developer Gap ? Did they really need a Startup CTO or Developer or both? Did they have a Weak Development Team ? I would caution any founder that finding and being successful with equity-only developers is tough. Was it a case of needing Homework? It can be done, but it’s hard.
