Report: Waze Turns Echo Park Street Into A Nightmare

Waze , the Google-owned navigation app, apparently has turned a street in Echo Park into a nightmare, according to the LA Times' Steve Lopez. Apparently, Waze's algorithms have been increasingly diverting drivers onto the extremely steep street--particularly in rainstorms--resulting in a litany of pileups and accidents.

He's fairly well known, he funded another company called Punchd, which recently sold to Google. For example, there's a bar in Echo Park called the Good Luck Club, which is modeled after a club in Chinatown, and has something called "double happiness", which is Tsingtao and some king of borderline illegal liquor.
