Source of the funding was not announced, however, the company said the round came from medical and radiology specialists, strategic medical technology investors and family offices. The company's CEO and co-founder is Sekhar Puli.

Ford, Rivian Abandon Plans For Joint EV

In a small post-IPO setback for Irvine-based Rivian, automaker Ford said Friday that Ford and Rivian have abandoned plans to jointly develop an EV together. Rivian had its IPO last week. According to reports, the move came due to the difficulty of marrying Ford and Rivian's hardware and software together. Ford made a $500M investment in Rivian in 2019.

Canoo Flees LA To Arkansas

Electric vehicle maker Canoo--which is still very early in producing its own version of an electric car--said late last week that it is moving its headquarters and manufacturing to Bentonville, Arkansas. The publicly listed company hit the public markets in late 2020 via a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). The company has shown off a number of renderings of potential, high tech vehicles, but does not plan to bring any vehicles to market before Q4 of 2022.

According to the company, the app is now available on Google TV and other Android TV OS devices, LG Smart TVs, and Samsung Smart TVs.
