Goleta-based gallium nitride semiconductor products developer Transphorm said last week that it has named a new member of its board of directors. The company said it appointed Ms. Kelly Smales to the board of the gallium nitride (GaN) power conversion device maker. Smales previously was CEO of KnuEdge (formerly Intellisis), company in the machine learning hardware and software area.

EVgo Completes SPAC Deal, Trading Now On Nasdaq

Los Angeles-based electric vehicle charging network operator EVgo says it has completed its business combination with Climate Change Crisis Real Impact I Acquisition Corporation. The special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) deal creates a new, publicly traded company called EVgo Inc., which is now trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market as EVGO, with warrants trading as EVGOW.
