I am very grateful to my friend Zoli Erdos for finding this retro posting for me at web.archive.org. My blog linked to Brad Feld’s blog because I was so grateful for his series on term sheets and he was one of the biggest reasons that as a VC I felt compelled to blog. My blog was wiped out. That changed very quickly.

As president I had to convince a bunch of college-age students to pay dues, turn up at weekly meetings, manage budgets, doing community service and avoid the kind of behavior that might make your organization defunct. Gen X’ers are pretty well profiled but I can tell you we were all grateful just to have jobs and pay our bills.
