I told people privately my perfect spec: computer science undergrad from MIT (or any other great school), 2-years at McKinsey but no more than that (I love the analytical framework that the top strategy consulting firms provide. I then worked in a computer store called Software Centre in high school and college (UCSD).

I’m looking for somebody who can sell, but not better than our head of sales. “Imagine you were a Phd wireless chip designer out of UCSD and then Qualcomm. You want somebody who can raise $15 million to build out your R&D, business development and sales organizations. Leaders are intelligent, for sure.
