Los Angeles-based GOGII , the developer of text messaging applications headed by three of the founders of JAMDAT Mobile, reported late last week that it has sent over 10 billion text messages from its textPlus texting app.

There is no region in the country that comes close to having the sheer number of angels & VCs that Silicon Valley has as well as the dollars that flow into the region (40% of all dollars, PwC Moneytree report ). In San Diego you have Qualcomm so an entire mobile industry has been spawned. Hautelook, Gogii, Magento.
