Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX has received a new, $149M contract to help develop new, missile tracking satellites for the U.S. Department of Defense, part of two contracts awarded by the DoD to improve its capabilities. The award was through the Pentagon's Space Development Agency.

Hawthorne-based SpaceX saw another successful launch of a mission ot the International Space Station on Saturday, taking off at 4:47 a.m. The launch is the fifth of twelve, contracted resupply missions for SpaceX to the International Space Station.
