The Santa Barbara-based online services division of Citrix Systems has been sued in the Florida Southern District Court, over alleged patent infringement. Pragmatus has patent suits pending against Facebook, Youtube, LinkedIn, and others over similar patent infringement claims.

Los Angeles-based RPost , a developer of electronic signature services, has filed a suit against Adobe and EchoSign for patent infringement, the firm said this morning. RPost sued Santa Barbara-based RightSignature and fellow electronic signature firm DocuSign in June over the same patents. READ MORE>>.

Santa Barbara-based RightSignature , the provider of electronic signature services, as well as one of its customers--Farmers Insurance--has just been sued by competing electronic signature service RPost. The lawsuit Rmail Limited et al v. The lawsuit Rmail Limited et al v. Right Signature, LLC et al--was filed on Friday.

I grew up in Los Angeles and went to undergrad at UC Santa Barbara, graduating in 2003 with Honors in Economics. While at UC Santa Barbara, I started a café which served over 1100 dorm residents. It also helps if there is a reason that other people can’t compete with you, either because of some trade secret or patent.
