Venice, California-based Viddy , a new startup developing mobile video tools, said today that it has raised $1.6M Viddy said it has launched an app which runs on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch which allows consumers to capture videos, stylize and edit those clips, and share them on a Twitter-style timeline across social networks.

Hermosa Beach-based Precipice Labs , a new startup developing mobile apps, has announced a new platform and SDK which helps mobile app developers add photo sharing to any mobile app. According to the startup, its new Ostetso platform is designed to help developers add their own, photo sharing social network with only a few lines of code.
