Interesting term used in a ZD Net article - Platform as a Service (PaaS) Unfortunately, Peter sells the promise and ignores the reality. Some other points - LAMP,Net, Java - doesn't make much difference. In second venture - compared Salesforce.com vs. S3 - as platform. Server and client in Java. I would tend to agree.
