There are lots of incubators here-- practically every school or municipality has some kind of incubator--but they don't have an accelerator. That was five or six years ago, 2005 or so. The incubator isn't really as focused, and sometime might be more focused on low cost space.

Cody Simms: Obviously, I live here in LA, and I have been since 2005. One could argue that in 2010, 2011, and 2012, that growth was in the video and entertainment area. As you mention, this is the third (or fourth, if you could the former Walt Disney Accelerator) Techstars accelerator in LA � why the decision to run another one here?

This has led to the creation of incubators, accelerators and seed funds. LP contributions to VC firms shrunk from 2000 and by 2005-2008 had stabilized to around $30 billion per year.
