On July 27, 2012 the AT&T Developer Program and Apigee produced the Mobile App Hackathon in Los Angeles, California. There were people walking around the room with orange ties called Senseis that were there specifically to mentor and support developers with programming issues. We walked over down to Hollywood Blvd.

There are too many deals to look at, too many seed funds or angels asking you to look at deals and weekly “demo days” with manicured and monocultural presentations crafted by experienced story tellers to help even the mundane idea sound like it will. For investors life is no different. My general advice is to do less.

The demo is the ceremonial end to the structured part of it, but our focus is really on building a really great business. Some flew in from overseas, different states and from Silicon Valley to attend.
