In the classic book, “ Fish Can’t See Water ,” Kai Hammerich and Richard D. Incidentally, I love that book title, which seems to me applicable to most aspects of business (and even people), as well as business culture. You need the global outlook, even though digitalization and Web 2.0 Consolidation.

What I want to answer with this post (long though it may be) is: Why did Web 2.0 Companies like GeoCities & Tripod built tools that let you publish web pages that could be discoverable by others. After a few acquisitions they offered many of the services you think about as foundations to social networks today.
