Los Angeles- and San Diego-based Veoh (www.veoh.com), an online video sharing site, has laid off 20 people, or roughly 18-20 percent of the firm's employees. Veoh said that the firm, although doing well financially, could not predict how soft the online advertising market will become, given the economic challenges of today.

Los Angeles- and San Diego-based Veoh Networks, a provider of Internet video sharing services, said today that it has entered into a partnership with Axel Springer Digital TV Guide GmbH. According to Veoh, Axel Springer is in a strategic international partnership with the firjm, specifically in Germany.

Los Angeles-based Gorilla Nation , which provides representation to web publishers, said today that the firm has signed on to represent the ad inventory for Dailymotion.com in Canada. The win is the latest in a string of Canadian ad rep deals for the firm, including deals with Gawker, Reuters, Veoh, and MetaCafe. READ MORE>>.
