Burstly, a Santa Monica based company, provides an open and free ad management platform that helps mobile application developers better monetize their inventory. He has many of the attributes I look for in an entrepreneur and importantly he has deep domain experience in ad management. I’ll explain in detail below.

We cater to mobile phone developers--right now the iPhone, and coming soon to Android. You have advertising networks and mediation players, but you don't really have an ad management platform like ours. I've been in the ad network business, helping Adconian, and know the web site publishing world. Our space is pretty young.

Hamilton Chan is founder of Los Angeles-based PaperLinks (www.paperlinks.com), a new startup which is developing mobile applications which take advantage of QR codes--the 3D barcodes which are cropping up everywhere--to help users marketers go beyond just linking those codes to web pages, but also to power social applications.
