The panel of experts not only judged the competition but also gave the companies feedback after their pitch. This will most likely take event in January 2013. Hamilton Chan is founder of Los Angeles-based PaperLinks (www.paperlinks.com), a new startup which is developing mobile applications which take advantage of QR codes--the 3D barcodes which are cropping up everywhere--to help users marketers go beyond just linking those codes to web pages, but also to power social applications.

Most importantly, the community has been contributing some amazing test implementations and demonstrating the fun and utility of some good-natured performance competition. And in any event, whatever overhead Docker incurs is uniformly applicable as all test implementations are required to be Dockered. More on that later.

The movie, “The Social Network” might have had more of an impact on creating future entrepreneurs than any other event of the past 5 years. Yes, it’s true that FOMO (fear of missing out) is driving some irrational behavior and valuations amongst uber competitive deals and well-financed VCs. Thank you, Aaron Sorkin! And the future?

First, I believe that Seesmic has an excellent product – especially the web version of their product and that having another senior and experienced exec like Loic Le Meur would be great for Twitter. Often these were things that would make Salesforce more competitive vis-a-vis Oracle and Microsoft.
