EVCS Signs LA Fitness On EV Fast Charger Deployment, Seeks Funding

Arcadia-based EVCS, an operator of an electric vehicle (EV) fast charging network, says it has signed a deal with Fitness International, LLC, the owner of LA Fitness, to install EV fast chargers at a number of its fitness centers. The company did not say how much it is raising in that effort.

Sensible Weather Gets $4M For Weather, Climate Risk Insurance

Los Angeles-based Sensible Weather, a new startup which reimburses travelers when bad weather impacts their trips, says it has raised $4M in a seed funding round. The company said it also has received a research and development grant from the National Science Foundation. The startup is led by foudner and CEO Nick Cavanaugh.
