Arcadia-based Siimpel , a developer of micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS) based cameras, has been acquired by Tessera Technologies , Tessera announced Tuesday afternoon. The deal was worth $15M in cash. Siimpel was founded in 2000, and had 42 employees, as well as a stable of 65 patents and patent applications.

Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. LG Innotek is a Korean developer of camera components, modules, and related products.
