San Diego-based StackIQ , a developer of "bare metal" provisioning software, has been acquired by Teradata , Teradata said on Thursday. StackIQ was venture backed by Anthem Venture Partners, Grayhawk Capital, Avalon Ventures, and crowdfunding site OurCrowd. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.

San Diego-based Chumby, which makes Internet-connected devices, has rolled out a new reference design that incorporates the firm's software to create Internet-connected digital photo frames.
