I essentially build the company out of the bedroom I was renting from him in Brentwood, on Goshen. Bill talks about growing up at the Naval Academy with his father, who was an assistant football coach there, and saying that was the most impactful experience on his coaching career. These were sports that you taught yourself by watching others, and just pushed yourself to progress for fun, with no coach or parent influencing you. I love that there are no coaches, and kids learn how to learn by teaching themselves. This was an inspiration to me. I like its anti-establishment bent, and its DIY nature.
