DTS' Parent Firm, Xperi, Merges With TiVo

Xperi , the parent company of Calabasas-based audio technology developer DTS , has merged with set-top box technology developer Tivo , the two announced this morning. Xperi and Tivo said that they have agreed to combine in an all-stock transaction, with an enterprise value of approximately $3 billion.

Calabasas-based Ixia said Wednesday that it has signed a definitive agreement to buy a product line from Agilent Technologies, in a deal worth $44M in cash. Agilent's N2X Data Networks product line is used for testing and validating next generation networking equipment, including voice-over-IP, VPN, and data services.
