Dave Eastman: For one thing, although we're not completely unique in this, is we don't take equity. There are 9 innovation nodes in the US associated with I-Corp, and one of those nodes is out of the Viterbi School of Engineering, with UCLA and Caltech partners in that. How are you different from other startup incubators, etc?

Eli Aizenstat: I entered into the Design Accelerator, which is an accelerator run in conjunction with the Art Center College of Design and Caltech, in the summer of 2014. Barry was a lead mentor there at Chapman University's Launch Labs, and we paired up. John Harbison, the Chairman of the TCA, actually led our seed round and the deal.
