It's a casual setupit's not an incubator, it's not an accelerator, and we're not charging anyone for space. I was really into graphic design in high school, and took several summer workshops at Caltech. We started working on local web design projects, but got sick of that in six months. Fascinating that you are going against the trend of trying to make everything a web application. In some ways it is similar to early stage incubators such as Y Combinator, although FI is even earlier stage, focusing on developing the founders themselves as entrepreneurs as opposed to actual companies.

To say he has had an impact on the web would be an understatement. He was a life-long entrepreneur and the first business he created out of college (actually, he founded it while he was at Caltech) was a company that manufactured high quality audio speakers. He sold so many that after Caltech he decided to open a retail store.
