Plug and Play San Diego has formed a partnership with Downtown Works, a new co-working space in downtown San Diego, which will give the local Plug and Play program a place to call home. Among other things, they get an opportunity to pitch to investors and industry representatives at Plug and Play’s quarterly “expo” event.

San Diego-based TakeLessons set out nine years ago to create a Web-based platform that helped match music students with qualified instructors. TakeLessons also acquired Chicago-based Betterfly, which offered online vocational classes, DIY projects, and self-improvement courses like public speaking and personal life coaching.

If we rewind to 8 years ago, it was me in San Diego training for my second marathon and I was trying to start another company at the time.
