In my view, practical business courses in school are better than an advanced degree or MBA. You can win as a team.

It will definitely show off your energy and vision, and will make you a more competitive candidate for any role. You don’t even need an investor.

Of course, there's no law saying you have to go to college to start a business. Many colleges offer courses on entrepreneurship, to help you think like one. More important are standard business, finance, and economics courses. Supplement course work with practical experience. Business networking is key.
