Especially when there are things like: Amazon S3 / EC2 / AWS outage this morning. Amazon EC2 - uses it for natural language processing. Would never put a user request to an EC2 instance. First company built on top of EMC, Unix servers, field sales to large clients. All about end-user requests. Not for batch processing.

We also have a web experience, and we host that on Amazon EC2. Our sales and marketing will be in Los Angeles. Dale Quayle: We raised a $10M round, and most of that money will be used in expanding our sales and marketing efforts. Is this a mobile application, web service, or how does it work?

At the time we viewed Amazon’s offering, EC2 as too nascent. During my second startup we never considered using cloud computer processing for our real-time processes but we did run some batch processes there.
