I believe that this is a major new area of growth & innovation for the Internet as Cloud Services start to form deeper & richer layers. You can think of even your PC as a stack in which the hardware manufacturers handled physical layers, Microsoft handled the OS layer and application companies built higher up in the stack.

A very interesting topic, especially for those of us involved in developing for start-ups. The basic conclusion was that it was a bit premature if you were talking about a serious, funded start-up. Especially when there are things like: Amazon S3 / EC2 / AWS outage this morning. Will it survive as long as you need?

We also have a web experience, and we host that on Amazon EC2. It looks like there is some story behind how you ended up at FileTrek and the company ended up in Los Angeles--the firm was in Canada? Our sales and marketing will be in Los Angeles. Is this a mobile application, web service, or how does it work?
