SpaceX Sends SiriusXM Satellite Into Space

Hawthorne, California-based rocket launch provider SpaceX has successfully launched a new satellite into space for SiriusXM. The company launched the SiriusXM SXM-7 satellite into space this weekend, in a launch from Florida. Maxar Technologies--which built the satellite for SiriusXM, before delivery to SpaceX for launch--said the satellite is performing properly.

Relativity Space Wins Launch Contract From NASA

Los Angeles-based Relativity Space , which is in the midst of developing 3D printed rockets, has scored a launch contract from NASA, the company announced late last week. The company said it was awarded a Venture Class Launch Services Demonstration 2 (VCLS Demo 2) contract to place CubeSats into low Earth orbit. The company said it is planning the launch for June 30, 2022, from Cape Canaveral launchpad LC-16.
