VidMe Gets Funding, Launches Private Video Sharing Service

Los Angeles-based Vidme has launched its services this week, saying that it is offering a private video sharing service, and has gotten funding from Applied Minds and Will Hearst. The service also includes a related, iPhone application. William Hearst is a partner at KPCB, and also sits on Applied Minds' board of directors.

Last month, Glendale-based VidMe (www.videme.com) announced that it had launched a private, video sharing service with backing from Applied Minds and Will Hearst, one of the partners at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. Applied Minds is the stealthy research and development outfit backed by Kleiner Perkins and also based in Glendale.
