Venice, California-based Viddy , a new startup developing mobile video tools, said today that it has raised $1.6M in a first round of financing, and launched a mobile video creation and sharing tool for the iPhone. Los Angeles- and Sydney, Australia-based Clapit , a startup developing a social media crowdsourcing app, said it has raised AU$2.57M ($1.94M US), to bring its mobile app to market.
