Are MBAs Necessary for Start-ups or VC?

Almost all of the finalists were MBAs (Stanford x2, Wharton, Harvard x2, MIT, UCLA). I then worked in a computer store called Software Centre in high school and college (UCSD). My first job after college was as a developer at Andersen Consulting. I helped program my college’s recruiting office’s software system.
