Erik Rannala: MuckerLab is a new startup accelerator, focused on incubation stage Internet, software, services, and media businesses here in LA. Erik Rannala: The name is a reference, actually, to Thomas Edison and the research lab he created. Erik, thanks for the time. It's a very similar model to YCombinator and TechStars.

If you look at a Techstars, a YCombinator, a 500 Startups, and the local incubators and accelerators in LA and Austin, we lean in heavily when military veterans are involved. You often hear that, but our application here is very specific. That gives us a great advantage in the ecosystem. The next step, is also interesting.

To get any notice from any accelerator, the best thing is to have their current companies and mentors refer you. Also, for the last piece of advice, make sure you're networking and getting out there in the community. A strong referral from someone in the network will help them look extra closely at you.
