Ability to Pivot – I don’t like to invest in people that I’ve never met before who come through my office wanting to have a term sheet within 30 days. VCs often tell entrepreneurs that they want to see “traction&# before they’re ready to invest. Geni.com beget Yammer. I could go on and on.

If you’re Yammer , Mint or RedBeacon (all winners) you’re knighted with wonderful coverage. But more broadly it got me thinking to one of the biggest mistakes tech executives get into in the first place.
