Siimpel is venture backed by such firms as Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DoCoMo Capital, LG Innotek, ZoneVentures, Scale Venture Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, Motorola, Micron, Portage Ventures, and SunAmerica.

NeuroVigil has previously raised seed funding from DFJ Frontier, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and ZoneVentures, which invested $250K in the firm when it won the 2008 DFJ Venture Challenge. NeuroVigil's technology is based on research from the Salk Instutute for Biological Studies. The firm was founded by Dr. Philip Low.
