David Baird: We really began as a musician matching site, kind of a LinkedIn for musicians. The way we reached that, was we saw that people were starting to use our site to discover and book talent. However, that was not exactly how the site was optimized. What markets are you in right now? How did you start the company?

We're not yet marketing or selling direct to advertisers, because we're really focused on growing and honing our platform. How long has the site been up and running? What have you learned so far in getting the site up and running? A very small amount of those sites have had funding, but there are certainly websites about lists.

We were a little early in that market, doing outsourcing, offshore, and managed crowdsourcing. My cofounder and I came up with this concept, and had been talking for awhole about how fragmented the overall market is for online ordering. We did not anticipate that in terms of what we needed to adapt our product to the market.

I first learned the ropes around SEO (search engine optimization) and how for years this has been a cat-and-mouse game where people game the system (Google) through link exchanges, offshore SEO “agencies,&# widgets, algorithmically optimized content and the like that degrades the quality of search results. Traffic rolled in.
