The first product is an iOS app, and that app is currently a live beta on the app store. At that time we'll be launching our second product, an iMessage extension.

At the same time, the need for the products and services that OCTANe provides are greater in a recessionary economy than in when the economy is booming. The demand for our products and services is really high, unemployment is high, the need for new technology is high, as is the need to increase efficiency from businesses.

Our goal was to take those observations, and subsequent research, and turn that into commercial products. How has the spinout experience from UCI been? People there encourage commercializing research, but, that said, UCI in particular and maybe the area around here is not very primed to do tech startups.
