Prevoty Now Part Of Imperva After $140M Acquisition

Prevoty was a developer of DevOps security software and was backed by Trident Capital. Los Angeles-based security software developer Prevoty is now officially part of Redwood Shores, California-based Imperva , Imperva said Monday afternoon. The acquisition had originally been announced in July. Imperva paid $140M in cash for Prevoty.

Prevoty Picks Up $13M More

The funding came from Trident Capital Cybersecurity, along with prior investors. As part of the funding, Prevoty said that Triden Capital Cybersecurity Managing Director Sean Cunningham joins the company's board of directors. Prevoty develops software which helps applications "self-defend" from attacks in real time.
