I’d personally heard of Startup Weekend back when it got started in 2007 out in Boulder but only attended my first Startup Weekend in late 2009. When LASW kicked off Friday evening at Coloft, we had over 100 on the wait list and countless requests from others to join the event — even folks sneaking in and pitching (without a ticket).
