There were no unicorns in sight on April 14th, 2008 when Kevin O'Connor, my Partner Jim Andelman and I met Twilio's Founder and CEO, Jeff Lawson. A true Internet Pioneer, by 2008, Kevin had already founded or co-founded two Unicorns in his own right, DoubleClick (sold to Google $3.1 billion) and ISS (sold to IBM $1.3 billion).

I personally believe that there are lots and lots of good developers working inside of organizations who would love to work on the interesting projects that we work on all the time, yet they arent out actively looking, so its almost impossible to find them. He has twenty years’ experience as a CTO.

Those crappy bots not only cost you money because they keep your server busy and increase your bandwidth bill, they actively decrease your advertising revenue because your visitors hit the back button when your page isn’t responsive due to the heavy bot traffic.
