Since the recent recession, and at least partially sparked by it, I’m seeing a real resurgence of entrepreneurial spirit, and more startup activity than ever before. According to the Kaufman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity (KIEA), the entrepreneurial rate in the U.S. Startup incubators and accelerators are popping up everywhere.

This has led to the creation of incubators, accelerators and seed funds. But in 2012 a visit to any major college in America will show you the massive increase in aspirations of our young talent to become the next Mark Zuckerberg and build a future Facebook. Fast forward to 2012 and none of these conditions hold.

Hank: I am the CEO and founder of Seco Sys, which is a platform that allows water agencies, customers, and water related services to concurrently engage in water conservation at all water use endpoints.

Amir Banifatemi: Our first class will be in winter, starting in 2012, most likely in January.
