IBM adds a fourth “V” of Veracity to add trust and noise filtering to the challenge of Big Data analysis. This data comes from sensors, social media posts, digital pictures and videos, purchase transactions, everywhere.

In 2012, total entrepreneurial activity in the United States hit its highest level since their survey started in 1999, according to Babson College. In summary, whether you are running a startup, a family business, or a famous brand like IBM, you are all part of the jungle. It’s a jungle out there. That’s the good news and the bad news.

While Journey has launched now in mid-2012, it is the result of technology that we have been building and deploying in production since 2009, when Embark Mobile was founded. Products such as IBM Worklight , Tiggzi, Appcelerator Titanium , Sencha, Sybase Mobile and Oomnitza operate in the same broad space as us. When was it launched?
