ViaSat Wins $283M In Patent Infringement Suit

Carlsbad-based satellite and wireless networking systems and services firm ViaSat reported late last yesterday that it has been awarded $283M in damages, as part of a patent infringement and breach of contract case. The two have been locked in the patent infringement and breach of contract lawsuit since February of 2012.

Google Confirms Motorola Mobility 4000 Layoffs

According to Google’s SEC filing on the 3rd this month and signed on the 13th 2012 Google will go ahead with and reduce the motorola unit’s 20,000 employees by 4,000 with two thirds of the cut in the US. Motorola annual financial report is here. Google has confirmed the firing of 20 percent of Motorola Mobility employees.
