Los Angeles-based utility-scale solar power project developer 8minute Solar Energy says it is in a partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), to build a new, 4000MW solar energy plant near California City. The City of Los Angeles actually approved the project in September.

Canoo Teases Electric Pickup Truck

Los Angeles-based Canoo, the now public developer of electric vehicles, has rolled out plans for an electric pickup truck, which it promises to deliver as early as 2023. Pricing on the new pickup truck was not announced. The company said a production version of the truck will open for preorders in Q2 of 2021.
